GUEST SPEAKER BIO
Lydia Vannessa Frazier has been a professional educator for over 34 years. She has provided trainings, workshops and presentations in the Missouri Bootheel, state and federal agencies on capacity building in rural communities, environmental job training, environmental health and land reuse. Her training and education provided her with top shelf skills to use during COVID-19. She has a vast knowledge, preparation and practice in environmental training, designing and in delivering effective training. Past trainings include The National Environmental Safety and Health Training Association; The U.S. Department of Transportation Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration; a 16- and 40-hour course on DOT HAZMAT Regulations and Instructional Design, which include certification in DOT HM181/215 and HM 126F Hazardous Materials Training Program, IATA Dangerous Goods Training Program and IMDG Hazard Classification Regulation Review Training Program.

EPISODE CO-HOST
Sonya Gupta is a graduate student in regional studies at Harvard University. She majored in biological sciences and Russian studies and minored in sociology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her research focuses on improving health infrastructures, identifying medical deserts and understanding the fundamental causes of disease to create better public health initiatives. She is passionate about teaching and empowering students. Her career goal is to be a physician who improves health equity and pursues interdisciplinary research to combat public health issues.
