Twenty-fifth Annual "Welcome Christmas" Concert
On Saturday, Dec. 9, at 8 p.m.
On Dec. 9, at 8 p.m., the Andrews University Singers and Chorale, under the baton of conductor Stephen Zork, will join the Andrews University Symphony Orchestra, led by conductor Marc Elysee, to present the 25th annual "Welcome Christmas" concert at the Howard Performing Arts Center.
This year's theme, "Peace on Earth," promises to welcome the Christmas spirit with a festive celebration for the season, featuring sacred and secular symphonic choral works and carols. The musical program will span from Giacomo Puccini's "Gloria" to the charming choral setting of "’Twas the Night Before Christmas" by Harry Simeon.
The concert will be a special evening, featuring guest soloists and presenters who will add their unique talents to the great seasonal tradition of "Welcome Christmas."
Tickets can be purchased at howard.andrews.edu. Prices are $15 for general admission, $5 for children under the age of five, and $10 for students (limit two tickets per student ID). For more information, contact the Howard Box Office at 269-471-3560.
