Sermon Title: Cleanse Me, O Lord!
David, after the visit of Nathan the prophet, was broken to pieces by his own sin and guilt. In that helpless condition, he pleaded with the Lord for cleansing and forgiveness of his sins. His sin was great, and so is ours, and only by being absolutely broken before the Lord we may enter the presence of God. Jesus came to save sinners like David, or sinners like me and you. People that are not broken for their pitiful condition never see their need for Jesus, the Savior. And this is the greatest mystery of all times: Jesus dwells in the broken hearts and looks for a contrite spirit.
