30 Years of Service: Kathleen Allen
Communications Manager & Banking Operations Supervisor, Office of Student Financial Services
Kathy’s motto of “keep calm and carry on” has allowed her to be an innovative member of our team over the last 30 years. She has helped modernize our banking services by moving us from coins to digital transactions, paper checks to wire transfers. Her wordsmithing abilities help us provide clear communication to our customers, and she continues to be our go-to person for crafting documents and maintaining our departmental website.
Stephanie Wiley, a former cashier, says, “The most memorable times with Kathy were the exhausting days of registration, when Kathy shared a new CD while politely cleaning up more than a few of my cashiering errors.
Katie Freeman, a former cashier, remembers, “Kathy taught me to be a strong independent woman way before I knew how much I would need those skills.”
Halaila Ehios, a former cashier, states, “Our personal chats at the end of the day were raw, real, and loving. I will forever cherish those moments with her because they were our moments”
Elynda Bedney, assistant vice president of Student Financial Services states, “It has been a pleasure working with Kathy over these last 30 years. At SFS, we ignite commitment and keep top talent in our office, and you are one of them.”
Kathy, thank you for your 30 years of service to Andrews University. Keep calm and carry on.
