Sermon Title: "I Desire Mercy"
Once, Jesus answered Pharisees in Matthew 9:12, saying, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” And who did Jesus send those Pharisees to learn from? He sent them to learn mercy from Hosea, because this verse is a direct quote from Hosea 6:6. And who but Hosea knew best about forgiveness and mercy? In my view, only God knows more about mercy and forgiveness than Hosea. And to Hosea God sends us to learn about how to love and forgive.
