Job Summary

·       Candidate will provide support to department and directory of student teaching (DST)

·       Candidate will assist in the planning and execution of program and course activities

·       Candidate will work one-on-one with students to ensure positive experience

·       Candidate will work effectively with partner schools and cooperating teachers

Graduate Assistant Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist DST in course planning & preparation
  • Develop and maintain associated materials
  • Assist in the grading of student assignments
  • Assist in developing online learning materials  
  • Monitor student performance online and in field settings
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to students
  • Respond to student inquiries related to course material and field work/internship

Graduate Assistant Requirements and Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Experience working in higher education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize
  • Able to work and manage assessment data
  • Proficient in the use of technology and educational software
  • Dedication to student learning and success
  • Commit to a minimum of two years (preferably more)
  • Be in good academic standing
  • Be a spiritually positive person in the university and church community
