Nixon presents talk on ministry

On Saturday, Feb. 22, at 3:30 p.m. in Chan Shun Hall on the Andrews University campus, Michael Nixon will present “The Edge of the Inside,” reflecting on what it means to do ministry while existing on the margins of denominational borders. He will use Luke 4:18–19 as a jumping-off point for his talk. Nixon serves as director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging for South Bend area’s Beacon Health System. He earned his law degree from the University of Illinois-Chicago Law School in 2013 and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Andrews University in 2009. He served as Andrews University’s vice president for University Culture & Inclusion for six years before transitioning to Beacon Health. Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending time with his daughter, Noa, who is in fourth grade. His presentation will be sponsored by Michiana Adventist Forum.
