Biography

Dr. Pedro A. Navia is Full Professor of Spanish and has been working at Andrews University for 26 years. Originally from Chile, he has a deep interest in Latin American society and cultural expressions through literature and film. Dr. Navia also enjoys reading and writing short stories, as well as traveling with students to Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian speaking countries. He is married to Elaine, and they have two wonderful children: Janine and Felipe.

Current Research or Professional Activities

He is working towards the completion of an original book, a collection of urban short stories.
