Joon Kang is professor of mathematics at Andrews University, having joined the faculty in 2000.
Born in Seoul, Korea, Kang attended Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul and graduated with a bachelor of arts in mathematics in 1988. He went on to receive a master's in mathematics from Michigan State University, East Lansing, in December of 1990 and a master's in statistics in May 1995.
Kang earned his doctorate from Michigan State University in 2000. The title of his dissertation is "The Uniqueness of Positive Solutions of General Lotka-Volterra Competition Models."
