The Patricia B. Mutch Nutrition Resource Center, housed in the School of Population Health, Nutrition & Wellness of Marsh Hall at Andrews University, was dedicated on March 27, 1996, in honor of Dr. Patricia Mutch, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and Professor of Nutrition at Andrews University, in recognition of her many years of outstanding leadership in the field of nutrition and her many contributions to the School of Population Health, Nutrition & Wellness.
Dr. Mutch developed the Coordinated Undergraduate Program in Dietetics at Andrews University, and was its Director from 1974 to 1984. Dr. Mutch developed the MS in Nutrition Education and was the graduate coordinator from 1984 to 1987. Dr. Mutch has been a faculty member in the School of Population Health, Nutrition & Wellness at Andrews since 1972, and from 1995 to 1998 was Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. On July 1, 1998, she was appointed to the position of Vice President of Academic Affairs at Andrews University.
The School of Population Health, Nutrition & Wellness gratefully acknowledges a sizeable donation of nutrition books and journals from the personal library of Dr. Patricia Mutch for the benefit of students and faculty using the Resource Center.
The Patricia B. Mutch Resource Center contains newsletters, books and fact sheets on vegetarian nutrition available for sale. In addition, the Center contains a number of videotapes, nutrition books, professional journals and magazines for the use of dietetic students and graduate nutrition students at Andrews University. The Center is normally open from 9am to 12:00pm Monday to Friday, and from 1:00pm to 4:30pm Monday to Thursday.
