Keila Diaz-Hernandez was born in Santa Clara, Cuba. She received a bachelor's degree in theology from Montemorelos University and a master's degree in Pastoral Ministry from Andrews University. She is married to Dr. Abner Hernandez, a professor in the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews. They have two young sons, Abner Jasiel and Andy Josias. Keila worked in Cuba as a Bible worker and the ladies' dean for the Adventist Theological Seminary of Cuba. At Montemorelos University, she worked part time as the administrative assistant for the theology department. Since May of 2019 she has worked as the administrative assistant for the MDiv program at the Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University. Keila enjoys going for walks, cooking, and spending time with her family.
