Tuition Assistance

The Tuition Assistance (TA) program pays the cost of tuition and some additional fees. Nearly all active duty military service members are eligible for TA. However, each service branch determines eligibility criteria that often reduce access. Tuition Assistance covers up to 100% Tuition and Fees, not to exceed $250.00 per semester credit hour or $4500.00 per fiscal year. More information available on our Consumer Information page.

  • TA Refund Policy & Schedule
    • We return any unearned TA funds on a proportional basis through at least the 60% portion of the period for which the funds were provided. TA funds are earned proportionally during an enrollment period, with unearned funds returned based upon when a student stops attending.
    • Tuition adjustments are given to students who withdraw from school or drop individual courses during the academic term. These tuition adjustments are based on the date when all the appropriate drop forms with all the required signatures are completed and filed with the Office of Academic Records.

Fall & Spring adjustments (1st day being the day the course begins. 8 weeks/40 days no refunds.)

  • Before or during 1st-10th calendar day=100% return
  • 11th-17th calendar day=70% return
  • 18th-24th calendar day=40% return
  • 25th-last day of semester=0% return
  • Courses with special schedules: When courses are scheduled for irregular  periods of time, adjustments are based on the ratio of the length of the course to the length of the academic period for that course.
  • Online Self-Paced Course: For Self-paced open learning courses, withdrawal policy is calculated on the number of days from start date.
