Supervison I and II.

Today we want to take a closer look at two supervisory styles - Supervisor I and II. Sergiovanni and Starrat (2002) introudce these two types of supervisors and note the very dramatic differnces in personal philosophies. Supervisor I relies heavily on the assumptions of Theory X (scientific management) and Theory X soft (human relations). Supervisor II on the other hand combines Theory Y from the huuman resources supervison with the belief that people are "morally responsive and able to sacrifice self-interests for the right reasons.
