Eurides Lopes

Hello, my name is Eurides Lopes, and I am native of the Capeverdean Islands. I moved to the United States of America with my family back in 2000. At first, I had some difficulties with the new way of living, culture, and language. I worked very hard to learn the language and excel in school.

Attending Andrews University was one of the best decisions of my life, and pursuing a degree in Clinical Laboratory Science one of the most rewarding experiences I have had. When time came to choose a four-year institution to pursue my undergraduate studies, Andrews University was my first choice because I wanted to develop both as an individual and a professional.

Once at Andrews University, I decided to pursue a degree which would allow me to have a real hands-on experience and apply all my scientific knowledge to directly help people. I still remember the day when I was informed about the Clinical Laboratory Science Program. It immediately hit me that the Program matched exactly my career goals.

Now, two years later, looking back at my journey in the Clinical Laboratory Science program at Andrews University, I realize how fortunate I was to be taught by professors who really care about their students. They are very supportive, always available, and make a difference in the lives of their students. I always felt comfortable in a very diverse class and made friends for life. The professors inspire you to persevere, to grow, and to always give the best of yourself as they give of themselves.
