Biography

Elizabeth Oakley is associate professor of Physical Therapy at Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Mich. She joined the Andrews faculty in 1994.

Elizabeth graduated from Andrews with a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 1988. She received a Doctorate in Health Science from the University of St. Augustine, St. Augustine, FL in 2006. The title of her dissertation is: "The Effects of Cryotherapy on Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness."

Elizabeth served as the Clinical Sciences Coordinator for the DPT program for more than 20 years. She currently serves as the Postprofessional Research Coordinator, coordinates and advises students in the research capstones and dissertation projects and teaches research courses. Additionally, she teaches PT Seminar in the DPT program and serves as a faculty mentor to junior faculty. She is also a primary care certified specialist.
