David Village is a Professor of Physical Therapy as well as Assistant Dean of the College of Health & Human Services at Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Michigan. As a graduate of Andrews in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science in Anatomy and Physiology as well as a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy in 1988, he began his teaching career at Andrews in 1995. Prior to coming to Andrews he was employed as a Physical Therapist in a variety of clinical settings. In 2005 he received a Doctor of Health Science in Physical Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine, St. Augustine, Florida.
David Village is a Board Certified Specialist in Geriatric Physical Therapy and a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. For 25 years, he taught courses in kinesiology, general medicine and geriatrics and conducts research in physical therapist education, fall prevention of older adults and service-learning. He retired January 2020, however he continues to teach some courses on a contract basis.
