Andrews University's Doctor of Physical Therapy program equips you to become a healthcare professional with an entry-level clinical doctorate dedicated to preventing, evaluating, and treating physical injury and disease. Through our curriculum, you will learn to design and implement therapeutic interventions to promote fitness, and health, and improve your patient’s quality of life. We integrate Christian values into our curriculum, and our faculty and staff embody these values.
Complete two degrees in six years instead of seven and save a year of tuition and time with our "3+3" track. Our program is designed to allow students to take an accelerated route to the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree to complete specific requirements in their first 3 years of undergraduate studies and apply for the DPT program. Together, we help you qualify for the Bachelor of Health Science (BHS) Degree or the Exercise Science with pre-PT concentration degree.
The program is designed to provide advanced learning for practicing physical therapists. Our students enhance their skills in medical screening, differential diagnosis, clinical leadership and administration. We train clinicians to become direct access practitioners. This program is offered in both on-campus and interactive online formats. For internationally trained physcial therapists, the degree is offered as a full-time on campus program only.
The Doctor of Science in Physical Therapy (DScPT) degree represents the highest clinical specialty doctorate in the world and is recognized as an advanced academic doctoral degree for bachelors, masters, and doctoral trained physical therapists. You choose the concentration that meets your professional needs: Higher Education Teaching, Orthopaedic Manual Therapy or Women's Health.
