Dissertation Office

Congratulations! You are almost done!

When and how is a dissertation/thesis sent to the Dissertation Office?

Dissertations/theses are to be submitted to the Dissertation Office via email after the dissertation/thesis defense, and after the dissertation/thesis committee is satisfied with your final changes.

What are the student's responsibilities?

After the defense please do the following items:

  3. Ask the program director/chair to send the final, approved PDF document, signature page, and plagiarism statement to: dissertationoffice@andrews.edu.
  4. Upload the document to ProQuest/UMI (instructions). If you want a personal printed and bound copy, please order it through ProQuest.
  5. Complete the JWL Submission Agreement Form (download) and email it to dissertationoffice@andrews.edu.

What are the responsibilities of the dissertation chair or program director?

After the student has made the required changes, please send the following items to dissertationoffice@andrews.edu:

  1. The final, approved version of the dissertation/thesis as a PDF,
  2. The signed dissertation signature page (as a separate PDF),
  3. A statement affirming that the document has been checked for plagiarism and cleared.
