Arrival on Campus

After you arrive on the Berrien Springs campus, you will want to check in with your on-campus residence hall or university apartment, and you should go to your academic department to check in with your academic advisor.

In addition, within the first few days of arriving, please go to the Office of International Studenet Services (Administration Building 307) with the following:

• Your I-20 that was used to enter the United States
• Your passport with the F-1 visa
• Your I-94 (go here, select Get Most Recent I-94, and follow the directions)

We will make copies of these documents for our files.

The next step for you will be to attend the required orientation for new international students. After the orientation, we will officially activate your I-20 to let the U.S. government know that you have arrived and are taking classes as planned. About three weeks after the orientation, we will email you to let you know that you can come into the office to pick up your updated I-20 with a travel endorsement.
