If you live more than 100 miles away from the campus with U. S, or Canadian address and have a currently validated Andrews ID card and an Andrews username and password, the Resource Sharing Office will deliver books and journal articles held at JWL to you upon request. You may request to borrow circulating books that are ‘available’ in the catalog and in-house print journal articles can be scanned and deliver to you via e-mail. You may also request articles and book chapters not held at the JWL through interlibrary loan services.
Off-campus students are encouraged to register with their local public libraries for check out and interlibrary loan privileges. They should also locate academic libraries near their residence to find out what services are available to them. Some academic libraries may allow in-house use of their resources but will require the purchase of a community borrowing card to check out. Off-campus students who are Michigan residents and are registered in a library that participates in MeLCat should be able to borrow books from other Michigan libraries. , including Andrews University. Students who live in other states should check out what their state has to offer them by way of full text resources, for example, OhioLink is available to Ohio residents.
