Shirley Freed's professional trajectory has taken her through biology and chemistry concentrations, secondary and elementary education, literacy training, leadership development, qualitative research and narrative research. Currently, she spends most of her time in research (dissertation advising) with leadership doctoral students. Her personal research agenda is currently focused on distance education (online) in higher education.
