Biography

Dr. Birney is an associate veterinarian at Berrien Animal Hospital, Baroda, MI where she sees and treats the whole range of domestic animals from pocket pets to cats and dogs to goats, horses, and cattle.  She has even treated sick tigers!  In addition to being an excellent veterinary doctor, Dr. Birney has a real passion for teaching and does an excellent job in the classes she teaches for us.  Courses she has taught include Dairy Health & Disease, Livestock Health & Disease, Lactation Physiology, and Animal Handling.  Students who take classes from her give high marks for the quality of the class and what they learned in them.  We feel very fortunate to have Dr. Birney as one of our adjunct faculty.
