Welcome to Mission: Invent 2025!

After selecting the winning teams at your school invention fair, the teacher will register the eligible team(s) for Mission: Invent (see below to determine how many teams your school may send). To register a team, you must submit a PDF copy of the team's completed Logbook, a picture of their presentation board, a picture of the invention, and an unedited video of the team's presentation (maximum 6 minutes).

All team members, their immediate family, and the teacher are invited to attend Mission: Invent. At least one team member and their parent/guardian must attend for the invention to be judged. Before registering a team, please confirm with the parents/guardians. Provide the names and emails of those planning to attend and we will send them their registration info.

Team Registration Deadline: April 30, 2025

Financial Responsibility:
Students, immediate family, and the teacher of a registered team will receive free housing for June 22-23, all meals for June 23, and breakfast on June 24. It is the responsibility of the family to arrange and cover the cost of transportation to/from Andrews University. A $25 commitment fee will be required of each family and teacher who plan to attend. Those who require financial assistance for travel expenses may apply by filling out a financial assistance form and submitting additional supporting documents. This form will be provided during general registration.

Eligible Teams:

The number of teams each school may send depends on how many teams participated. If your school selected winners by grade level, you will send the top teams from each level (K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12). If you scored everyone together regardless of grade level, you will send the top teams out of everyone. Use the table and the following examples to determine how many teams your school may send.

If you have any questions, feel free to Monica Nudd at monica.nudd@gmail.com.

How many teams can go to Mission: Invent?
# of Participating Teams # of Eligible Teams
1 0 *
2 - 5 1
6 - 10 2
11 - 15 3
16 - 20 4
21 - 25 5
more than 25 6

*For homeschool teams and schools with only 1 participating team, the first 5 such teams to register from each grade level will be welcome to attend Mission: Invent. This policy may change next year.

Example 1:  Teams scored by grade level
Suppose you had 2 participating team from grades K-2, 4 teams from grades 3-5, and 7 teams from grades 6-8. Using the table, your school would be eligible to send 1 team from K-2, 1 team from 3-5, and 2 teams from 6-8.

Example 2:  All teams scored together
Suppose you had 6 participating team from all grades. Using the table, your school would be eligible to send 2 teams out of everyone.
