Dr. Bernard-Fisher is director of the Counseling and Testing Center, and is responsible for its overall operation. She received her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Andrews University, and completed a clinical psychology internship at Mercy Hospital in Detroit, MI. Her training also included a pre-doctoral internship and a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Notre Dame, where she functioned as staff psychologist at the University Counseling Center. She is a fully licensed psychologist in the state of Michigan.
Dr. Bernard-Fisher has a strong commitment to helping individuals realize their potentials. Her areas of clinical interests include depression, anxiety, eating disorders, self-esteem, and career issues. She also enjoys couple and group therapy.
Dr. Bernard-Fisher's multi-cultural background and fluency in French and Spanish have provided her with a deeper understanding of diversity issues. She enjoys outreach and consultative opportunities in areas of cultural diversity, family mental health, grief and anger management, achievement and motivation.
