Andrews University Teaching and Learning Conference

The Andrews University Teaching and Learning Conference serves as an arena where faculty and students from Andrews University, as well as other K–12 schools, colleges, and universities, can come together to focus on the scholarship of teaching and to reflect on research and best practices within the field.

On Thursday, March 27, 2025, the Andrews University School of Education, will host its 22nd annual conference. The Andrews University Teaching and Learning Conference (AUTLC) invites proposals for scholarly work, posters, and best practice sessions from PreK-12 teachers, graduate and undergraduate education students, university faculty, and other education professionals. This year’s conference theme is Founded in Excellence, Forward in Innovation.

This year the conference will have in-person and virtual options.  We invite educators to share reports of significant work in practice, theory, research, development, applications, and societal issues from across the field of education, especially in the following areas:

  • Digital Teaching and Learning (In-person, Online, AI, etc)
  • Content Area Teaching and Learning (e.g. STEAM, Literacy, Numeracy, ELA, etc.)
  • Diversity and Inclusion
  • Faith Engagement
  • Partnerships with Families and Communities
  • Interdisciplinary Collaborations
  • Trauma-Informed Approaches

Submissions from individual, group, and interdisciplinary teams are encouraged. Presenters will discuss and demonstrate strategies, techniques, or solutions to common issues in education. This will be an opportunity to inform attendees about lessons learned and future plans from those who have designed, developed, and implemented education in effective and/or innovative ways especially in the face of divisions in our communities and in the broader society.

Individuals and groups can submit proposals for poster presentations or breakout sessions.  Poster presentations will be in-person at the Andrews University Berrien Springs campus. All other sessions, including breakouts will have in-person and virtual options. Breakout sessions will be 30 minutes in length. The conference schedule is provided below.

All events of the AUTLC are free of charge. Conference registration will open in February 2025.
