After completing his MDiv degree, Jim served as a pastor in the Idaho Conference. While there, he was invited to serve as the official chaplain for the Idaho State Senate in Boise for a year (2013). He is now the pastor for the Journey Kelso Seventh-day Adventist Church in Washington State. Jim also serves as an adjunct professor in the Doctor of Ministry program at the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary, Andrews University.
