Student Space Improvement Projects
Our Giving Day Goal: $7,000
Drinking Fountain Upgrade
We're committed to fostering a comfortable and supportive learning environment for our students. This Giving Day, we aim to raise $2,000 to replace an old, unreliable drinking fountain with a modern, efficient bottle-filling station. Access to clean, filtered water is crucial for keeping our students refreshed and focused.
Student Study Room Kitchenette
At the Department of Computing, we strive to create a supportive and inspiring learning environment for our students. This Giving Day, we are raising $5,000 to install a student study room kitchenette—a much-needed space where students can refuel, collaborate, and build community while working on intensive computing projects. Last summer we were able to purchase a couch, refrigerator, and some games, to start making this space for the students. They have really enjoyed it. The room is equipped with an old science sink that needs to be replaced.
Computing students spend countless hours working on coding assignments, cybersecurity research, and AI projects. A small kitchenette with a sink and counter area will provide a space where they can:
Enjoy a quick meal or coffee during long study sessions
Foster collaboration and teamwork in a relaxed setting
Create a more welcoming study space for late-night coding and project work
Support student well-being by providing a comfortable, community-oriented environment
Our goal is to raise $5,000 to install a sink and counter area in the student study room kitchenette, ensuring students have a convenient space to refuel while working on their academic and research projects.
We invite you to help create a space where students can learn, connect, and thrive! Your contribution—whether $25 or $500—will make a difference in transforming our study space into a functional and inviting environment.
Can we count on your support? Give today and help us bring this much-needed space to life!"
