Research Articles
The most common type of article published in JRCE is the research article. JRCE publishes articles from several research traditions: qualitative, quantitative, historical, philosophical, theoretical, theological, and critical. This journal uses ScholarOne Manuscripts (previously Manuscript Central) to peer review manuscript submissions. Please read the guide for ScholarOne authors before making a submission.

The opinions expressed in published manuscripts are those of the individual authors and do not necessarily represent the views of the editors or publishers of the JRCE.
When submitting a research manuscript for publication, the author should:

Prepare material according to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 6th edition (2009) paying particular attention to the use of the active voice and the organization of references.

Prepare a separate cover sheet including address, daytime telephone number, FAX number, e-mail address, and professional affiliation, as well as the manuscript title and date of submission. In the case of multiple authors, provide the address, phone number, and affiliation for each. and a 30-word biographical sketch of each author.

Submit a 100-word abstract as the first page of your manuscript. Avoid abbreviations, diagrams, and reference to the text in the abstract. Repeat the title but omit all further reference to authorship on the first page of the text.

Tables and figures should appear on separate pages at the end of the manuscript. Use call-outs in the text of the manuscript to identify placement of tables and figures.Submit tables and figures as camera-ready copy. Indicate their position in the text, but please keep in mind that final placement is done at the discretion of the production editor.

Include all standard components of a research article in your manuscript. Limit the manuscript to 10-30 double-spaced word-processed pages, including charts and graphics.

Clearly communicate the implications of the research-based study for Christian education.

Do not submit material currently under consideration by another journal.
Submit the article through our ScholarOne Manuscript portal following the instructions you will find there.
All parts of the manuscript should be word processed, double-spaced, with margins of at least one inch on all sides. Number manuscript pages consecutively throughout the paper. Authors should also use a shortened version of the title as the running head, not exceeding 50 character spaces. Each article should be summarized in an abstract of not more than 100 words.
