Each year the Center for Teaching and Learning awards the Ausburger Teaching Award to a faculty member who embodies Andrews University's mission to seek knowledge, affirm faith, and change the world through their life-long commitment to teaching. The recipients are nominated by the Andrews University community of faculty, staff, and administration.

In addition to having served the institution for a minimum of three years, the faculty member you nominate should be able to provide evidence that they meet the following criteria:
Faculty who have received the award are not eligible to receive it again but your nomination will earn them a certificate of recognition. A list of faculty who have received the award in the past can be found through this link: Recipients of the Excellence in Teaching Award
Please write a narrative of one or more paragraphs describing how the professor you are nominating demonstrates excellence in teaching based on the criteria listed above. Share stories about the nominee’s commitment to students and their learning. How has your nominee influenced students or colleagues personally, professionally, or spiritually? Nominations should be sent via email to ctale@andrews.edu. Students, faculty, staff and administrators are eligible to nominate a faculty member for this prestigious recognition.
