Children and youth love to be active and play games and many are involved in team sports. Attending their sporting events is a brilliant opportunity for you to build relationships.
Testimony from a seminarian at Andrews University:
"For example, softball was a huge deal in the town I pastored in. Every summer, hundreds of kids would sign up to play, and every summer I would attend as many games as I could (usually two a week) to show the kids that I supported them. It not only built stronger bonds with the kids, but boosted my relationships with their parents as I sat in the bleachers talking with them. So, attend their sports games, and you will surely make an impact."
