Jupiter is the fifth planet from the Sun. It is also the largest planet in the solar system. Jupiter is a gas giant planet with a star-like composition. Jupiter’s atmosphere mainly consists of hydrogen gas and helium gas. Jupiter is surrounded by red, brown, yellow, and white clouds that make it look like Jupiter has different colored stripes. Jupiter is also home to the Great Red Spot. The Great Red Spot is a huge hurricane-like storm on Jupiter three and a half time the size of Earth nad with winds reaching up to 400 miles per hour. Jupiter also has three hard to see rings. These rings were discovered by NASA’s Voyager 1 and are made up of tiny particles. Jupiter has 67 moons with the largest moons being Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto.
